And he fails on all fronts
After a robbery gone wrong, a thief and a troubled orphan must rescue his kidnapped partner from a ruthless drug lord and her charming killer. This film tries its best to be stylish and charming, just like the first film «Smokin'»; Eye film. Lou Diamond Phillips plays as well as he can, although he is mostly unrecognizable. The rest are such overblown caricatures that they are simply two-dimensional and annoying.
The action is mostly boring
Yelling and bulging eyes don’t make him funny or smart. The film seems to think that every five minutes a battle scene is needed to keep you from watching, and that’s partly true. The plot is so crowded and banal that it is difficult to follow. Or, rather, it is so difficult to follow him.
Computer graphics spoils the stunts a lot
There is a guy who stole money or something. And at least two other groups of people want this from him for reasons I just don’t understand. It’s extremely difficult to care about any of the characters when none of them are real. Undoubtedly, the experienced stuntmen working on it lose their confidence when you realize how green screen it all is.
Why did all this happen?
The main character can’t even ride a motorcycle on a straight road without riding it. I reached the end, although I wanted to give up several times. Because gunshot wounds were mostly minor, the stakes were usually empty. When people really died, it was hard to believe that they really died, when they shrugged it off worse than before.
Why does it bother someone?
Who won in the end? I don’t know, I watched it all.
