In the collapsing Soviet Union, the Petrosyan family turns out to be outcasts – wherever they go. Their Armenian origin makes them the object of discrimination first in their homeland, in Azerbaijan, and then in Russia. Having found eternal hope thanks to the church founded by American missionaries, the hostility of everyday life forces them to seek refuge in the United States. Amidst the shadow of exile, hope became their home. It is based on a fascinating true story about faith and hope, which takes place in the conditions of great oppression.
