Olivia Burton, for 23 years, is moving to California with her boyfriend – Francis Morales, 24 – going against their family members. Francis’s mother, Lillian, is a pious Catholic who does not approve of his son’s community and gives his feelings in the form of violent, religious thematic postcards. Despite these complaints, young lovers are placed in their new, exciting life together. Their bliss is interrupted, however, after the accident of the freak is left by Francisco physically and mentally wounded.
