Scenario
A ranching family in Montana stands up against others encroaching on their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned hand in the world of rodeo. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) frequently seems to «forget» what he’s saying, losing his Montana accent and reverting to the SoCal speaking voice he normally uses. Featured in WatchMojo: Top 10 Summer TV Shows You Don’t Have on Your Radar (2018). «Yellowstone» is a solidly written drama — great characters, well-crafted — that draws its tone from a few different modern masterpieces. It has the feel and cinematography of Longmire, the plot and grim outlook of «The Sopranos,» and the dramatic momentum of shows like «Dynasty» or any of the other similar network dramas. Huge respect has to go to Costner and Cole Hauser — these guys 100% nailed it. I didn’t expect to be as drawn into this show as I was. It’s worth your time.
