During the scene in the living room with candles and fire, Almut closes Tobias’s notebook, but in the next shot it is open
An aspiring chef and a recent divorcee find their lives changed forever when a chance meeting brings them together in a decade-long, deeply moving romance. When Florence Pugh couldn’t make it to the film’s premiere due to other filming commitments, Andrew Garfield brought a life-size cutout of her to fill her absence.
Almut: Who’s in a hurry?
Tobias: Because I’m worried that there’s a very clear and real possibility that I’ll fall for you. Link to Cinefiliando-Peliculeando: El tiempo que tenemos (We live in time) (2024).

Never before has the gap between my expectations and the actual impact of a film been so great. The possibilities were so great when they cast two of the best actors of our time – and even they couldn’t bring soul to the film.
Both characters fell flat and I felt very little emotional investment in them
The writing and soundtrack were completely forgettable, despite Pugh and Garfield doing a great job with what was available to them. The back-and-forth timeline provided an incomplete emotional journey because there was no build-up or stake to invest in.
Here’s hoping someone brings them together in a future movie and gives them a better shot at creating a masterpiece
I had such high hopes and was counting the days for this movie, and when I left the screening I was very disappointed.
