After a traumatic incident during his stay, a young medical student James Hayman (Namir Smallwood) moves to a rural hospital for a new beginning. Upon realizing that James fights and has difficulty connecting with patients, Dr. Harrison (veterans actor and Michael Potts scene) suggests that he takes the class focused on the bed and facilitating deeper relationships with patients. James’s demons begin to catch him when he is becoming a case with a young asthma (Sidney Flanigan, never sometimes sometimes) with mysterious symptoms. His control of reality begins to slide like his disturbing nightmare, speculating anxiety and body injuries collide with the acute realities of the world of medicine. Director Alex Thompson brings together a powerful set of veteran actors in his monitoring of the predecessor of San Frances, Ghostlight, to this vision of humanistic and unconventional gender.
